Hi and Welcome!

I’m Jamie Rincker, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist,
currently practicing in Durham, North Carolina.

It’s my pleasure to work with you virtually or by phone.

About Jamie

I became a dietitian, in part, because my grandfather was a family physician and my parents worked in the mental health field. I was drawn to both fields and found nutrition to be a great combination of the two. Nutrition counseling touches on our physical and mental well-being. I have a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Drexel University in Philadelphia and trained in sports nutrition under the guidance of Rakefet Arieli, MS RD at Hadassah Optimal Sports Center in Israel. I have extensive experience in nutrition research, counseling, and education for adults of all ages.

Before starting Fork Nutrition, I was previously a Research Dietitian Clinician at Duke University Medical Center. There I specialized in Senior Health related to nutrition and body composition. Additionally, I have guided individuals in sports nutrition for a vast range of fitness levels—from recreational athletes, to ultra-endurance athletes, as well as municipal firefighters.

My Approach

My approach is to help you take charge of your nutrition-related individual health needs using evidence-based nutrition therapy. I focus on you, as an individual, customizing programs to fit your lifestyle.

In an age of information overload, where news reports, opinions, and trends can be overwhelming, I will help you prioritize your nutrition concerns and dispel food myths.

Whether you are looking for weight loss, weight gain, disease management, family nutrition literacy, senior health, or athletic performance, I am ready to get to work with you.
